Slains Castle
Slains castle is now in ruins but was where Brams Stoker got his inspiration for 'Dragula'. We explored the castle with my cuz Leah & sis Heather.
Scone Palace
Scone Palace is where all the kings of Scotland were crowned on the famous 'stone of destiny'. Fabulously preserved palace near Perth in Scotland.
The Falkirk Wheel
The Falkirk Wheel was designed to make moving from one canal to another easier. We went up the wheel in a boat to the top canal, through a tunnel then returned down the wheel. An amazing piece of engineering by a Scotsman.
Going up the wheel.
The canal at the top.
Through the tunnel.
This photo shows how the wheel operates.
The Kelpies.
